Does this office provide personal legal advice to faculty, staff, and students?
The Office of Vice President and General Counsel does not provide personal legal advice. This office provides legal services related to University business only. Our attorneys are available to the administration for consultation regarding University legal matters relating to carrying out their official duties as an employee or representative of the University. Employees are responsible for hiring an attorney to handle personal legal matters.

Who can faculty, staff, and students contact for personal legal advice?
University faculty, students, and staff or members of the general public needing personal legal assistance may contact the Middlesex County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service at 732/828-0053 for referral to an attorney. Students may also contact the Student Legal Information Center at 732/932-8908.
